Costs
The 2009 Study Tour to Argentina is slated to cost $2,150 + airfare (estimated at $1,500). Students will have the option of traveling with the tour leaders or purchasing their own airfare and meeting the group at the tour hotel within the specified time frame.
Study Tour costs include:
- All in-country accommodation (double occupancy)
- In-country transportation related to the tour itinerary
- Some cultural activites
- Some meals
- Travel costs for 2 student leaders
Study Tour costs do not cover:
- Roundtrip airfare to Seattle
- All meals
- Immunizations
- Entry visas, applications, or passport fees
- Optional activities
- IBUS 570 (2cr) tuition
- Personal expenses
Any funds remaining in the account after all Study Tour costs have been paid will be refunded to the student participants.
The Faculty Representative’s travel costs are paid for by the Global Business Center.
Visa Requirements
US, Canada, South Korea, Japan
No visa requirements for tourism visits up to 90 days.
India, Taiwan, and China
Citizens of these countries DO require a visa that can be obtained at the Argentine Consulate.
The following documents are needed:
- Valid passport with at least six months validity remaining
- Visa application form, completed and signed
- 2 passport photos
- Green card or valid visa back to the US
- Fee, payable by check or postal order
- Proof of hotel reservation and sufficient funds during intended stay
- Onward/return tickets or confirmed itinerary
Other Notes
Argentina is very inexpensive by US standards, so don’t expect to spend much outside of what’s budgeted. That is of course unless you want to fill your suitcase with souvenirs, then you’re on your own.
